While most dental education institutions in developed countries have access to the staff and financial resources needed to develop these curricular modules, dental schools in emerging economies often lack access to these critical teaching tools.
Why is IFDEA creating the Global Knowledge Center?
As the conclusion of the Global Congress on Dental Education III (Dublin, 2007), the International Federation of Dental Educators and Associations (IFDEA) launched www.ifdea.org, the Global Network for Dental Education.
This innovative, interactive website focuses on dental education and learning that provides a platform for the exchange of information, curricular materials and ideas among dental educators, students and professionals globally.
IFDEA's strategy, while ambitious, is quite simple: sharing knowledge within the global dental education community will result in raised standards and improved oral health worldwide. Our primary goal is to provide valuable information for dental educators, with a focus on providing access to quality resources for use by dental educators in emerging and low-resourced countries.
Who can submit educational resources?
